Christmas in Cutchogue NY

December 6, 2013 by Wilfred Joseph

Christmas in Cutchogue NYThe sun has paled, the air gone crisp, the days shorter – that’s right, it’s time for Christmas in Cutchogue once again!
Christmas in Cutchogue kicks off with a fun-filled, hour long magic show at the Cutchogue Fire Department with cookies, candy canes, cider, hot cocoa and other holiday treats.
After this hour of satisfying snacks and eye-popping prestidigitation, watch the skies: it’s Santa!

Taking a quick break from his near-completed toy and gift constructing activities up yonder in the North Pole, he’s made the annual trek to Cutchogue. Instead of the sleigh and eight tiny reindeer, however, Santa will be ferried in by helicopter to the firehouse grounds to greet the throng of eager-eyed kiddies and their parents.
Thereafter, Santa will be escorted by firefighters aboard a waiting fire engine, to be driven through Cutchogue Village to the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Free Library, where he will spend the rest of the morning meeting with the children, listening carefully to their Christmas wishes, and posing for a picture with them, should they so desire it.
Once Santa has departed, parents and children alike are invited to make a day of it by strolling the festively decorated streets, shops, and restaurants of Cutchogue.
Each year the North Fork Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Cutchogue Fire Department and the Cutchogue Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, sponsor the “Christmas in Cutchogue” celebration to the delight of all whom can attend. We hope you can!
