It may not have quite hit the national consciousness yet, but Long Island is the rapidly becoming an east coast, craft beer hot spot. Support for the local beer scene has gained real prominence over the last decade, with craft breweries springing up all up and down Long Island. Events like the North Fork Craft Beer Festival give you the opportunity to meet some of the Long Island brewing community’s new faces – as well as those from more established, regional and national brands.
The North Fork Craft Beer Festival is bringing more than fifty craft brewers together at the Calverton Links Golf Course to showcase and offer tastings of over 100 different beers and hard ciders, meet and great beer enthusiasts, give beer tasting and brewing seminars, and more.
Other distractions at the festival are set to include live music and a great selection of food trucks offering everything from pulled-pork and ribs to crab cakes and gourmet sliders.
A portion of the proceeds from the 2015 North Fork Craft Beer Festival go towards KIDS NEED MoRE and the Alzheimer’s Association’s annual walk to end Alzheimers.
