Take A Bite Out of the 2017 North Fork Foodie Tour!

August 7, 2017 by Wilfred Joseph

North Fork Foodie Tour 2017It’s almost North Fork Foodie Tour time again! This year’s celebration of the bounty of Long Island’s North Fork takes place Sunday, September 10th, 2017.
Long Island’s North Fork is known for its vineyards, farms, craft breweries, dairies, orchards, and fisheries. We’re proud of our continued heritage of delicious, locally sourced and produced foods. The North Fork Foodie Tour is our way of celebrating and sharing our region’s bounty with visitors and neighbors alike.
This beloved annual event takes you behind the scenes of some of the North Fork’s most popular food and drink producers. Learn the process, see the animals, passion, hard work, and raw materials that go in to the end product, and enjoy delicious, fresh samples!
The 11th annual North Fork Foodie Tour is more than tours and tastes, though. You’ll also learn tips and tricks from local pros. 2017’s Foodie Tour featured speakers include author and Chef John Ross, Greenport’s Stirling Sake, and Captain Phil Karlin of North Fork Smoked Fish.
The North Fork Foodie Tour works similarly to a self-guided house tour in that you choose your own destinations from the participating tour locations. When and where you go, within the bounds of the tour times, is up to you! Don’t miss this unique opportunity to discover the best of the best food producers of Long Island’s North Fork up close and personal!
