Winterfest on Long Island.  What is it all about?  It is about having over 80 performances from February 13th to March 21st.  A special Steinway kickoff event has been scheduled for Friday, February 12th at 7 P.M. at Wolffer Estate Vineyards.  The event will feature Grammy award nominee and East End’s own Judy Carmichael, a world reknown stride pianist.  Judy is just one of over 80 musicians and performers that will be participating in this year’s, Jazz on the Vine on Long Island.
Well it is said that a story says 100 words, and then a video tells even more!  We have two videos to share with you from the 2009 Jazz on the Vine.  Matt Marshall is a smooth guitar player and here he is playing “Wind Chill Factor”.  If you prefer Latin Jazz, then take a look at this performance from Mundo Clave-Chucho .  Remember that all performances are free at Jazz on the Vine.
So, what would you like to hear?  Pop? Jazz? R&B? Contemporary? Blues? Latin?  The schedule for Jazz on the Vine has just about everything that you can imagine.  Once you participate in Winterfest, we know that you will come back year after year.  This year, the Arbor View Bed and Breakfast will be featuring a free daily reception from February 15 until March 21 from 3-5 P.M. during Jazz on the Vine!
Join us for Jazz!

It is time for Long Island’s 2010 Winterfest and this year’s theme is Jazz on the Vine.  This is the third year for this theme, as it has become very popular.  The events are numerous and they plan to have over 70 free jazz concerts over a six week period from February 13th to March 21st, so make sure not to miss out.  Make plans to visit the East End of Long Island and hear over 80 outstanding jazz musicians perform at local winery tasting rooms throughout the duration of Winterfest.
So who is coming to town?  Maybe it is just easier to say “who isn’t coming” to Jazz on the Vine.  Contemporary music by the John Ellis Trio, modern jazz by Jessica Elbert Quartet, bop by Michael Weiss Trio, Brazilian music by Roni Ben Hur Trio, and the list continues.  Since all of the Jazz concerts are free of charge, it truly makes for a great venue to enjoy the jazz and sample the local vineyards wines.
To make the decision to visit Jazz on the Vine even easier, Arbor View Bed and Breakfast has put together a special Romantic Getaway package which includes a two night stay, two massages, a horse drawn carriage vineyard tour, discounts for North Fork wineries, an aromatherapy bath, a gift certificate towards a romantic dinner, and it also includes a gift basket complete with sparkling wine, chocolate truffles, nuts, cheese, crackers, and fruit!  Reserve today to enjoy the best of the 2010 Winterfest with Jazz on the Vine.
