The East End Maritime Festival in Greenport Village, Long Island is a weekend-long celebration of the area’s rich, nautical history. September 23rd through the 25th, 2016.
Greenport’s annual Maritime Festival attracts over 40,000 people with its three days of history, food, and fun. Wooden sailing ships, lighthouse tours, live music, a parade, and more will keep you busy.
There will be plenty to do for both the little and the big kids with pirate shows and cocktail parties, lawn games and kayak races. A fundraising event for the East End Seaport Museum, the event includes opportunities to sample local produce, fresh seafood, wines, and craft beer.
The big kids will especially want to attend Friday’s opening event, the Land & Sea Gala. This East End Maritime Festival opener includes offerings from numerous local restaurants and wineries, along with spirit sponsors, and craft brewers.
