Long Island’s second annual celebration of beer, wine, cider, and bbq, the Long Island Craft Classic, is almost here: August 12th, 2017. With over 40 breweries, cideries, and vineyards on hand, not to mention great food and live music, you can’t afford to miss this awesome summer event!
The 2017 Long Island Craft Classic is the second year of the updated and expanded North Fork Craft Beer Festival. This “little” festival has grown and changed by leaps and bounds over the years, just like the craft beer industry that spawned it. Now it includes wines, ciders, live music, contests … and no longer qualifies as a “little” anything!
Attendees can look forward to over 100 different craft beers, ciders, and regional wines to sample. Brewmasters, vitners, and cider-makers from various companies will put on a variety of seminars and demonstrations for the curious.
New to the Long Island Craft Classic this year is the Brew’d Competition. Eight local breweries will be offering a specially brewed beer for this competition and YOU get to be the judge. The brewers signed up for this competition with the special, qualifying ingredient still a secret. Now it’s out: the ingredient was peaches! Be sure to come taste and judge each peach beer and vote for your fave!
Part of the Long Island Craft Classic is barbecue, which will once again be provided by the Patchogue’s Bobbique. Bobbique’s offerings of pulled pork sandwiches, kielbasa, smoked turkey legs, vegetarian offerings, and more will keep you going throughout the show.
Entertainment for this year’s event is LDF (formerly Ladies Drink Free). LDF are a creative group of Post-Funk pioneers who have made a name for themselves with their unforgettable live performances. Their songwriting approach is a musical gumbo of gritty funk, modern pop, sultry R&B, arena rock, and world rhythms that will get you up on you feet and keep you there.
General admission tickets to the 2017 Long Island Craft Classic include a 5 ounce tasting cup, unlimited samples, and a sandwich and side dish from Bobbique. VIP Session tickets get you the above, plus private bathrooms, special beers, and express food line, and a keepsake sampling glass. VIP ticket holders also get to meet and greet brewers for a pre-show hour!
