Over the weekend of Friday 20th through Sunday 22nd over 40,000 visitors from all over the world visit this wonderful slice of historic America to enjoy the museums, fishing contests, parade, flyovers, fireworks, amazing food, and so very much more.
Greenport’s Annual Maritime Festival 2013
The East End Seaport & Marine Foundation, in partnership with the City of Greenport, invite you to celebrate their 175th year of incorporation and experience everything their town and their 24th annual maritime festival have to offer.
If you’re looking for some family friendly activities, you need look no further than the “Little Merfolk” contest. Children between the ages of 5 – 12 are encouraged to create a unique merman or mermaid outfit, and all participants are invited to march in the festival’s inaugural parade. Other activities for children include Craft Alley, storytelling, and two fishing contests.
The main attraction of this Greenport’s annual Maritime Festival are the beautiful maritime ships . The ships will be docked at Mitchell Park Marina’s piers and will be open for viewing, tours, and sailing daily.
