The North Fork Craft Beer Festival is now the Long Island Craft Classic and scheduled for August 6th, 2016 at Heckscher State Park. More than 50 craft beer brewers will be in attendance – will you?
Long Island’s craft brewing community is robust. New craft beer companies appear every year. What better way to meet all the Long Island brewers and sample their offerings than at a craft beer festival?
The North Fork Craft Beer Festival did just that for 9 years in a row, gaining such prominence that this year, it was time to expand. The first annual Long Island Craft Classic, held in East Islip, allows for an expanded festival that includes more local craft breweries and established, regional and national brands.
More than 50 breweries, cideries are expected to be on hand, offering well over 100 different beers and ciders for the sampling. Brewmasters from various companies will also be offering seminars and demonstrations for the curious and the up-and-coming brewer.
Food this year will be catered by Patchogue’s Bobbique. Bobbique is known for its delectable selection of barbecued food, including ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and “the best chicken on Long Island.” Your Long Island Craft Classic ticket purchase will entitle you to a BBQ sandwich and a side, with additional items available for purchase. While the event menu is still being worked out, vegetarian and other dietary options will be made available.
General admission tickets to the Long Island Craft Classic include a souvenir tasting cup, admission to the seminars, and unlimited samples of beer and cider. VIP Session tickets are also available and include an opportunity to talk to brewers and taste special beers reserved for VIP Session ticket holders.
