Come to Long Island and partake in Winterfest, where you can enjoy quality jazz at various wineries along the East end of Long Island, we are celebrating Valentine’s Day all month.
We still have availability at our Long Island Inn – a romantic and historic property in the quaint town of East Marion. Our luxury B&B will put you far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but right in the middle of Long Island Wine Country and the Jazz on the Vine Winterfest!
Here is some of the entertainment lined up for Valentine’s Day weekend, February 16 & 17.
Saturday February 16th
3 p.m. at Pellegrini Vineyards ~ Spherical Flamenco Jazz Trio w/Emma Larsson
3 p.m. at Palmer Vineyards ~ The Mike Engle Vibratrio. The Mike Engle Vibratrio delivers a mixture of original compositions and jazz standards. This group has been characterized as a “Bill Evans-esque trio, featuring a spontaneous and interactive threesome, along with a lively four-mallet technique reminiscent of Gary Burton.” Mike Engle’s music reflects a gumbo of influences, stemming from his roots in New Orleans and seasoned by his recent relocation to New York.
3 p.m. at Macari Vineyards & Winery ~ Monday Michiru. Tokyo born and American raised songster Monday Michiru is one of the pioneers of the Japanese acid jazz movement of the 90s. She has worked with a variety of musicians from different genres including Latin, funk, soul and hip hop. She has toured extensively throughout Europe, U.S. and Asia with her solo projects, performing at notable festivals and clubs such as North Sea Jazz, Montreux Jazz, Jak Jazz, Blue Notes in Japan and NYC. She has been a resident of the North Fork area with her husband, jazz trumpeter Alex Sipiagin, for over 10 years.
